Citizens of many countries do not need a visa to travel to the Kyrgyz Republic. Here is the list
If your passport country is not there, please check the e-visa portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to determine whether you qualify to get an electronic visa (option available for most other passports) or you need to get your visa by application to the embassy.
There are four main hubs through which you can reach Bishkek — Istanbul (works perfectly for most destinations), Moscow (two flights a day through Sheremetievo airport; serviced by Aeroflot which flies brand new Airbus airliners with very good service), Almaty (this is in Kazakhstan; the airport can be a good connection for some flights) and Dubai (the route to Bishkek is serviced by FlyDubai).
Please book your flights early, as summertime holiday travel flows can sometimes cause difficulties in getting a last minute ticket for a reasonable price.
Bishkek is located at an altitude of around 1 kilometre and has a dry continental climate. It should be quite warm in the end of June — perhaps around 28 degrees Celsius in the daytime and around + 20 at night. Check your weather app on the smartphone closer to the event for a better prediction.
Booking.com has many options for any budget (and we mean, any) to stay in Bishkek.
The guesthouses at the Presidential Residence compound have a limited number of rooms available for event guests; these are priced from 100 to 250 USD per night and require a pre-clearance of the occupants. Please email us if you would like to explore the option of staying next to the event venue, we will try to accomodate.
